Washing Machine Question!
LO, so, we just moved and set up our washer/dryer ourselves, with my FIL's help. We had to buy new washer hoses and rig up a new drain hose. Everything should be set up correctly.
However...
Whenever we wash clothes, in cold water or w/a cold water rinse, they wash in hot water. So hot that when I open the washer door they're literally steaming!!!
Also, they smell. Kinda mildewy, I guess?
The washer was working perfectly in the old house and there was no smell, so it has to do with this house. But I have no idea what? The washer is also very new - we bought it in may. It's a front loader.
Any idea what it might be?
Or how much it'll cost Sears to come out and look at it?

I don't know what it could be unless you hooked up the hot water to it instead of cold.
Sears will come out for $80 I think.

Yeah, it was just hooked up wrong.  After my huuby SWORE it was right, he reversed the hoses and now it's fixed!

Tell him that if he puts his hand on the "cold" water pipe, and it hurts his hand because it's really hot... it's probably the hot water pipe...
