We are home and healthy! Overdue birth announcement
Hi all:
I'm not a regular poster but come on often enough. Just wanted to let you know our little girl arrived via c section on 8/4. It was a failed VBAC - my water broke, but DD didn't drop. labor started but didn't progress and I didn't even get 1 CM dilated When DD was examined, she had a 100.3 temp and ended up being admitted to NICU for 2 days to monitor her and give her antibiotics. It was rough (especially as I was sharing a room with a mom of twins! and could hear her babies crying all night but wasn't able to even get out of bed to visit my baby in the NICU) The nurses took pity on me and arranged for me to have a private room because I was such an emotional wreck that it was affecting my blood pressure and recovery. Thankfully, DD was all right and after 2 days I could keep her with me in my room. We are home now and doing great!

Awwww, sounded like it started off rough - but you got through it and have a beautiful baby girl to show for it! Congrats!!!!

awww I am so happy everything worked out for you both and how nice, you got your own room. Its nice when they feel for you and want to try and make you happy in some way.

Awww Jen congrats!! I am glad you got to at least try for the VBAC  so glad she is home and healthy!!
