We are not TTC yet but I have a question for future reference.....
I am a vegeterian and eat alot of fish especially sushi, shell fish and tuna (alot of tuna) I know when you are pregnant you are suppose to avoid these fish due to mercury............is it necessary to reduce the intake of these foods before you start to TTC, or should i get tested to see what my mercury levels are, or anything else????

Actually fish is very good when ttc and pregnancy. Tuna, is questionable because it's a large fish, and you should avoid sushi when you are "pregnant' because of the bacteria. It's best to eat cooked fish. Shellfish is fine :)
If you can, try to eat smaller fish (flounder, etc) ...., it's the large fish that have higher amounts of mercury.
