We are STill having a flea problem-PLEASE help!
What DO we do?
Its not bad, but Ever seince Abby got fleas from outside, we cant get rid of them. We flea bathe her about every 10 days and it wipes them off. She doesnt go outside anymore at all cause we are nervous.
We bought Frontline and just gave her 2 days ago her second months dose. There was a flea on her today????
We bought Frontline for all 3 ctas and 2 of the cats now have a few fleas. They have never been outside in their lives. Its just a few.
We have washed everything, vaccuum every other day.
I dont know what else to do. I cant take it no more.
How can we get them off the Dog and Cats for GOOD and out of my house?
Again its just one or two on the animals, and not a lot, but they are coming from somewhere and the frontline is NOT working.
Im at my wits end. Please help!

Re: We are STill having a flea problem-PELASE help!
you may have to bomb our house for the fleas
sometimes the fleas make a home in the house then jump onto the animals.
My mom bombed her house with some stuff. Or maybe call an exterminator to bomb for fleas.

You definitely have to bomb the house...once they get in, that's really the only way to get rid of them. Make sure all your animals are Frontlined. The Frontline doesn't stop the fleas from jumping on the animals, it just prevents them from laying eggs and living on the animal. Good luck, I don't envy you - they are a PIA to get rid of.

Re: We are STill having a flea problem-PELASE help!
I went through this last week. My husband has 2 dogs at his shop, and he was bringing fleas HOME with him.
I spent about $100.00 on powder for the carpet, sprays, etc. I am completely against frontline,so I do not use that. I bathed my guys in flea shampoo about 3 times in one day. You have to vacuum every inch of the house, at least twice a day. And I think you need to bomb the house as well. seems like they are multiplying, which means it is impossible to stop without fumigation.

Re: We are STill having a flea problem-PELASE help!
well I bought A crap load of stuff for the capret and spray, Tommorow am going to spray every inch of the house except where they are at the moment and then vacuum twice a day for a while, see if it helps.
I wanted to go get the fogger stuff, but was afraid of the fumes cause Im PG and they seem to linger.
Pray this works!

As far as bombing from what I'm told, you have to leave the house for an entire 8 hours. You have to cover everything b/c the spray from the bomb will still leave a residue/film on everything anyway.
Since you are PG, I would check into the dangers of the "aftermath".

if you have carpets or plush furniture, you may need to do flea powders or sprays. Also, make sure they have not gotten into carpets, pillows or bedding.
Let someone else do it, as you should not be around those fumes. Good luck.

My dog had fleas a few weeks ago and we brought her to the vet after trying various flea baths. The vet said she probably just got them from being outside in the grass where squirrels and such hang out since she is not around other animals. To make a long story short, she put the frontline on her and she has not had any more fleas since then. I think that is the only thing that works. Give the frontline a few days to work and then bomb the house.

Re: We are STill having a flea problem-PLEASE help!
we had them last summer... and we started giving our dog "program", its a pill that you give them that fights the fleas internally. it puts something in the dogs skin so that when the fleas bite him, they die or become unable to lay eggs.... i like it better than frontline, just because i worry about frontline washing off too easily... AND i had also read somewhere to sprinkle salt ( i used the big "kosher' salt crystals) on your carpets adn floors, let is sit for an horu or so and then vaccum... apparently the salt dries up the flea eggs in the carpet... it worked for us, and that would be safe to try being pregnant...

Re: We are STill having a flea problem-PLEASE help!
We had fleas on our cats last week too. One cat got outside under DH's watch and we got the Advantage from the vet and I also bought the spray and vacuumed well. Unfortunately one cat is still scratching and shaking like crazy but the other one isn't so I'm wondering if he has a skin irritation from the treatment. DH is taking him to the vet today.
But, if it is still fleas, does anyone know if you need to put a bomb in each room or just one in a central room in the house? Does the powder work well?
