We are thinking of doing this backsplash ...
in our kitchen - i think it looks retro but in a good way

My parents have this as a backsplash in their house...and actually ironically enough, our new house has the same exact backsplash too! :)
It looks fantastic, but just a note of helpful advice. Apparantly they sell it pre-painted, and not. My dad had bought the pre-painted version and it looks great. Our house, on the other hand, did NOT buy the pre-painted version and just had straight metal. It was rusted out in a bunch of places, and as a temporary solution we've had to spray paint it. So, if you go this route..save yourself the hassle, and buy the pre-painted! :)

i have to find the catalog - it is Restorers ... (something like that) - I am not home, but I will post the name of the catalog for you tomorrow (with phone number or website)
It is a great catalog, they have EVERYTHING in there, great unique ideas with lots of retro looking stuff (even those old rounded refrigerators)
