We could use some LIF Prayers
So i've seen the LIF prayers work so many miracles, I have to try and pray for some good news at this point.....sorry if this is long.
DH was diagnosed w Sarcoidosis last year. For anyone who is not familiar with it, it's a disease that causes inflammation that produces granulomas in his lungs and eventually cause alot of scarring which effects how the organ functions. This causes him to have a lot of coughing and phlegm (sorry for TMI) and be very out of breathe. DH used to be a marathon runner and for him to get out of breathe from 1 flight of stairs is devastating to him.
After being treated for almost a year with no improvement with his pulmonologist, I found a new doctor who specializes in Sarcoidosis. Well....after a new CT Scan and reviewing his biopsy reports from last year, he informs us that DH does NOT have Sarcoidosis. What he has is Wegener's Granulomatosis. This is similar to the Sarcoid but very different and causes hemmorrhaging(sp?) in his lungs. It is more dangerous than the Sarcoid because it can cause Kidney Failure and is known to be fatal within a year.
With early diagnosis and treatment, there is a good chance of recovery. However, since DH was misdiagnosed, his lung function has gotten alot worse over the past year and he only has about 30% use of his lungs at this point.
We're waiting for our appointment with a rheumatologist and anxious to get him started on a course of treatment. I'm just so afraid that since we're already a year into the disease, that he won't have as good a chance at recovery as he would have had if he was properly diagnosed 1 year ago.
I know I can't get any answers here but i'm just at a loss right now. I believe in the miracle of prayer so, please ladies, just keep my DH in your thoughts and prayers. It would mean so much to me.

wow thats really scary! I hope it all turns out ok. I know how tough it is, my mom had COPD and had only 30% lung function, which is nothing! she was wheel chair bound due to the lack of oxygen. She eventually received a double lung transplant.
