We did Dutch Wonderland this weekend
DD had a BALL. She turned 15 months the day we were there. I was a bit nervous she'd be too young, but she wasn't.
She absolutely loved it. Went on the rides by herself, walked around the park, I even took her on the log flume..and to my surprise she loved that too! the little band that travels the park..I think they're called "the wanderers"- she stood right in front of them and danced to all their songs.
We stayed at Eden Suites and it was great. She adored the sprinkler area.
We didn't do Hershey, thought she was too young for that. We spent Sunday doing outlet shopping and driving around Amish Country (Intercourse).
DEFINTELY going back next year and we'll add Hershey into the mix.
PS- the deals at the outlets were outrageous!! Got her 4 pairs of shoes at Stride rite for $60!!

Loved DW and Eden we were there 6/27 and 6/28. We are definitely making that an annual trip and i think next year I'll try to time it for when a Day with Thomas is going on and then hit Sesame Place on the way home. Cant say enough good things about our Eden experience!

Sounds like fun!!! DS is 15 months old and I thought he would be too young to go but your post has made me reconsider. Just curious, is 1 day enough in the park or did you get the two day pass?

We did one day (DD is 5, and DS is 8), and we at least stopped by every single ride. We went on about 80% of them. Some of the rides, neither DC wanted to go on for one reason or another.
We got there about 10:30, and left about 7:30, so we almost opened and closed the park that day.
You can do almost everything in one day, but you will definitely have plenty to do if you go for two days.

There were definitely rides she could go on alone and some that we took her on. I think one full day is enough..but I definitely think she would have enjoyed another day there. We didn't do the water rides (except for the log flume). There are some rides she couldn't go on. You could see the shows too. We may do the 2-day pass next year.

That is awesome! I really want to do something like that with DS this summer even though I myself am not a big amusement park person. DH thinks I'm crazy because I'm 26 weeks preggo and says that DS is too young to truly enjoy it.
Glad you had a great time!

Yay! Sounds like a great trip! I'm planning a similar trip for this summer, I'd love to pick your brain
How many days did you go for?
Would you mind taking a look at my post (top of page 1 right now) about DW and amish country trip planning?
Now I need to squeeze in some outlet shopping too

Re: We did Dutch Wonderland this weekend
Oh wait, so at 15 months they can get on rides by themselves??? I'm nervous that DS might be afraid and will try to squirm out of the seat. At Disney, on some of the rides he would bury his head into my side .
Can you ride all the rides WITH them? Or are some rides for kids only?
