I know it's a cliche but it wasn't meant to be. I remeber we lost the first house we wanted and I was devistated. Then we found our current house and boy am I glad we didn't get the first one!! It will happen!

ITA!!! The same thing happened to us and we see it as a GOOD thing we did cause we wouldn't have found the house we live in now.

Absolutely I do remember crying after it fell through but in the long run it was sooooo much better!!!

The same thing happened to us. We lost our last place to another couple 2 months before we got married & I was so upset.. I cried for 2 days thinking that we'd have to live with my parents.
Soon after an even better palce came on the market & it's so perfect for us.

You will find a better one. I promise we did! And when you find it, you'll talk about all the flaws in the house you didn't get and realize it happened for a reason.

Same here... Well, actually we backed out, but we were so upset. We wound up getting a bigger, nicer house for a lot less than the first one. I'm SO glad we didn't buy that other house now!

I agree 100%. I thought I "loved" the first house that we lost. Now that I'm in our home, I couldn't imagine being in that other one.
The right one will come soon!

We didnt get the first house either
and thank God!!!! that we didnt, cause we got something a million times better!!!
Hang in there, i know its hard, and it feels like the end of the world...but i remember house hunting and being on LIF, and reading everyone saying how it was meant to be and theres soemthing else out there better.
It was hard believing it cause when you want something so bad and dont get it, it just seems awful.
BUT
Trust me, your dream home is still out there
I promise you that!!!

I know how you feel. We bid on a house before the house we bought and we decided after not being able to come to a good price with the seller that the house wasnt for us. It was a totally remodled dutch colonial with 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms and a finished basement, but the edrooms were small and there was no dining room. I am glad we didnt buy that house, but I still loved the look of it and that it was all new......
You will find the right house....Dont worry it is out there.

That happened to us too when we were looking. I still think about that house sometimes and it was a few years ago. It was really perfect and needed very little. Our house still needs so much work.
