We got a dog!
Her name is Lacie and she is a lab mix. She is about a year old. We got her from some family that is moving and couldn't take her with them. They rescued her last year.
She is adorable and LOVES to play. Only thing is that since we got her on Monday night she has yet to pee or poo outside. She has gone for numerous walks but doesn't go. Once we get inside, she goes on my dining room carpet. I know she is housetrained because we saw her ask to go outside at the old owners house and watched her go. I am hoping it is just her nerves and she outgrows this FAST!

Congratulations. She probably is just nervous, doesnt understand why her family gave her away. Give her time, I am sure everything will work out great.

awww.. congrats she is so cute and has a beautiful coat. As far as the potty she'll go eventually just make sure you do backflips and praise her right away with food when she does.

That is what I did. As soon as she was done I showered her with affection and gave her biscuits. She was more interested in continuing her walk though. I hope this is the start of good things with her and her potty habits!!!

What a beautiful dog! I'm so glad things worked out. As far as her going in the house, it's probably just her getting used to all the changes and not really understanding the "rules" of the house yet.

congrats - what a cutie! good luck! she could just be getting used to her new environment! we were lucky when we bourght our dog home - he automtically has pooped outside since that day....peeing, well, that was another story....but now he is fine and lets us know when he has to go out!
