We got a puppy today
Ironically ( i didnt realize this until we got home) today was 1 month since we had to put Barney to sleep.
I was hesitant about getting another dog so soon but my husband and I went to Sportsman Kennels today and we fell in love!!!! He is a 4 month old yellow lab and he is just perfect!! I wanted to take ALL of the dogs home with us. They let out a few dogs for us to play with and there was one just would just follow my husband all over the place.
We knew we had to take him home with us. I dont have any pics yet but I will take some soon. We named him Napoleon.

Yay Congrats!
Getting a new pet really does help the healing process.
I felt it was too soon too- but I can't tell you how my new baby helped me heal and get over the pain of losing my cat.

My friends mom has had 4 dogs all the same breed and she named them all Napolean. After 1 passed she would get another of the same exact dog.

First of all...congrats on your new addition!!! I can't wait to see pics!! I'm not familiar with Sportsman's Kennels. Actually this is the first time i've heard of it. Can you give me some information on them? DH and i are looking to adopt a puppy. Do you adopt from there? Thanks so much!! and best of luck with your new baby! I love his name!

actually... it is.. i'm trying to play with my words as nicely as i can to not hurt your feelings but in a box.. it's a puppy mill/backyard breeder. they breed MULTIPLE breeds and have a lot of puppies. i'm sure there are great dogs but it's not a respectable place. i've done my research. i still would love to see pics of your dog though. i hope i don't offend you. :-/

I got my barkely boo from there, my mom got her dog, my friend from work bought one dog and then went back and got another dog so he has two from there, my husbands friend went and got his dog from there too. Everyone of the above has GREAT dogs from there, healthy, no problems, smart, friendly dogs...
And yes you cant adopt you have to buy just like you would buy from a breeder on line, etc.
Again congrats on your new addition... Lets not make this a thread about politics.. It was made for your new addition!
Cant wait to see pics!!!!!! And good luck on the puppy classes!!!! Barkley LOVED them!
