we just had our CPSE meeting...
AJ was approved for
a full day program
2 Speech
2 PT
3 Speech
3 hours of Family Training (in-home)
we are sending packet out to 4 schools
Little Village
BOCES
Barbra C Wilson
ACDS
if he goes to BOCES he will get the 3 speech at home.
it was totally nerve wracking, but i think for now his IEP will work.
Chairwoman definitely said he would NOT benefit from a half day program.
now the wait begins for his screenings and acceptance letters.
who knew this would be so hard on your nerves... and i thought i would have until college for "Acceptance" letters....

that's great. Good luck! I can imagine it being nerve wracking.
It must work different in NJ than NY. For us the district basically tells us where they're going to place my son. I don't think I apply. Although I think they're going to keep him in district anyway and maybe do ABA separately.

That is great! My ds has attended ACDS for the last two years. He has done so well there, great experience.

That is great! My ds has attended ACDS for the last two years. He has done so well there, great experience.
AJ goes to ACDS now... he is in the 2 year old LYNX program.

how do you like it? My ds has done well, he graduates in June. I've heard Barbara C Wilson has a wonderful program as well.

i like the EI program.. they dont have a full day for CPSE for 3 year olds and they may have one next year but its a 6:1:2 and i dont want AJ to be the "Rat" KWIM?
i love it so far, and its been a great experience... but we are def leaning towards a school with more "spectrum" experience.
we saw BCW and we did LOVE it, but i am scared to send my 3yo on the bus so far (i am in bellmore)
i know i am jumping ahead and i should wait to see where is accepted first...
is your ds DS or special needs? (if you dont mind me asking)
