We left DS for the first time...
Yesterday was our 2 year wedding anniversary and DH and I had my ILs over to watch DS while we went out to dinner. It was the first time we have been out together without DS since he was born 4 weeks ago. I thought it would be harder but I felt ok leaving him. I am sure once he gets older and realizes that we are leaving him it will be much harder. While it was good to get out of the house and have some time alone, it was the strangest feeling not to have him with us. For now, I am grateful to have had to chance to spend some time with DH and remember the day we got married.

Good for you and happy anniversary!
It's hard initially, but very much worth it, and if you had parents watching DC, it helps.
