We made it to three weeks...
Between one neurotic mommy and a growth spurt thrown in to drive her over the edge...I am happy to say that we made it to three weeks and we are both okay...of course the major credit goes to DH who has now given up sleeping at night to take the baby - even though he is working and I am not. He kissed my forehead the other day and when I barely flinched (just my eyes rolled back) he decided enough was enough and pulled up his sleeves. YAY!!!
I am still really bad about the swing - DS is in it all the time with me. Where as DH can get him to sleep and put him down in the crib.  Hopefully it will work out but at night DS is sleeping in his crib - wakes every 2-3 hours - but still stays in there. So if that is the trade off I'll take it. 
I really just wanted to say thank you again to everyone. Between the posts and FMs you all have been so wonderful!

Don't worry, you both will get in the swing of things soon! Yay to DH for stepping up to the plate. Isn't it so refreshing to have a DH that helps? And, don't worry, just when you think you have DS figured out, he will change his schedule all over again

Hang in there Ang, it sounds like you are doing a GREAT job. When it comes to sleeping, try not to worry too much about him sleeping in his swing. A lot of newborns do not like to sleep in their crib or bassinet at all ... and if you did a poll of the Mommies on this board, you'd see just how many of us had let their babies sleep in the car seat, stroller, bouncy or swing.. even at night! :!
I don't think anyone prepares any of us for those crazy first weeks with a newborn at home, and it takes a lot of time and adjustment to get into a groove with your DC, but before you know it you'll be a pro at this Mommy thing 
And  to your DH for coming to the rescue.. sounds like a good Daddy and husband you have there

Congrats! You are doing great- what a wonderful hubby- my DH never got up with baby in the middle of the night.
Don't worry about the swing- DD still naps in it- in fact, she has been asleep for almost 2 hours in it. And she's almost 6 months!

He is soooo cute! I'm happy your DH is giving you a hand and you're doing well. Hearing that from brand new mommies gives me hope that I'll get through the first few weeks after our DS is born on Wednesday.

Wow....look at that cutie! Hang in there...it does get better. The sleep deprivation takes a while to subside but it will come.

YAy! Happy 3 weeks! You are doing a fantastic job! I know verything seems very scary in the beginning, but it does get better. Having a DH who will get up in the night is a great thing (mine did) and you will be very rested before you know it. I hope he keeps it up!

Isn't that the truth! I've been feeling so guilty cuz Bella's been sleeping on my chest for 2 weeks. It's the only way we get sleep through the night.
Don't worry... we've all got our tricks going on right now. Whatever's working, I say go for it! (I AM! )
