we need a dry wall guy
Okay, I'm not sure if it's just a regular carpenter or contractor or whatever, but bottom line is we need some dry wall work done.
This is not a huge job. Basically, we have a few walls that have brick veneer (puking icon, please?) over them, and we want this demo'd and dry walled before we move in. We will do the painting. We will also likely do the demo ourselves since that will need to take place before we have our wood floors refinished (and the dry wall has to go up after the wood floors are refinished).
It's one wall in our living room, one wall in our dining room (however, the dry wall has to go around a built-in china cabinet that can't be moved / taken down), and some spots in the kitchen.
Any recommendations for an HONEST company that does excellent work?
ETA - we are in Nassau, south shore!

Yes, I have a recommendation, but the number is at home, I will FM you later with it!
We put up the drywall ourselves, but they did the spackling and were extremely reasonable and did a very good job.

Thank you! I'd greatly appreciate that number if you think of it tonight.
We were originally considering doing the dry wall ourselves and then having someone come in to do the mudding / taping (or whatever they call it)... We may hire them to do the whole thing now b/c our timeline is now much shorter than we originally thought - we're closing 2-3 weeks later than anticipated, but can't move back our move-in date!

We had them tape and mud the kitchen and the den, which were two pretty big rooms. They came three times in one week and finshed it all.
