We returned from Disney! PSA: Do NOT vacation with my In-Laws!!!!!!
Well, I over came my biggest fear and flew with the twins. It wasn't terrible, but certainly not easy! There is just too much crap you have to take with you at this age! Oh, and James, well, he puked on landing! That was real fun!
We stayed with my In-laws at Orange Lake in a big 3 bedroom. The space was great, but my FIL is such a PITA! I totally get why my dh doesn't like him. Mind you, we have never spent this much time with them as a family. He is controlling and bossy. Finally, I stood up to him and told him this vacation was not about him! UGH! I also realized how wimpy my MIL is. I certainly don't put up with much crap from dh!
Any way, Disney MK was so crowded! It was way too crowded to do a lot of th stuff! The kids were happy just to see the characters and were in awe of everything!
The next time we go, I am thinking of taking off a few days in January and going down! Maybe it will be less crowded!

We go for 2 weeks in jan and 2 weeks in July. January is awesome! You can get on everything real fast.

I was thinking about MLK weekend! Taking an extra day for a quick trip!

Looks like despite some aggrivation, you still had a good time. I love the one of the twins passed out on the plane! Did you take advantage of the pools at Orange Lake or was it too cold? We go there every year!

It was too cold for the pools. Friday would have been a good day for the pools and of course, that is the day we were leaving.
Dh & I own a week at River Island. ILs own in the North Village.
We love it there!

Any holiday will be crowded down there...I know it is hard to take time off with kids but try and do a weekend not around a holiday. Like Thursday-Sunday...

It sounds like despite the family issue you had a great trip!! Unfortunately any time there is a holiday WDW gets totally crazy. It is hard to go those times with little ones b.c the lines are so long.
It looks like you all had fun anyway though. Any good tips? What was their favorite thing?

When we went in September to Disney it was pretty empty...sorry you went during a busy season.
