We tried CIO!
And it worked.. But what torture.
This is how it worked.
DS fell asleep around 815 and didnt have a great bottle. He woke up at 10 and drank half a bottle and went back.
Ds woke up at 1030- dh gave him the pacifier- had to do this 3 times.
DS woke up again at 12:17am. I gave him the pacifier once, after that i let him cry.
He cried for 32 mins. It was the longest 32 mins of my life. once he was asleep for 5 mins i went in and checked on him- just to make sure he was ok, he was sleeping peacefully!!!
But, he went to sleep on his own, so IT WORKED!
He slept until 7am straight. and woke up with teh biggest smile on his face!!!
I can only hope it gets easier!!
Blissful- i'm with you!!!

Re: We tried CIO!
another CIO success story!!
girls, if you can stand it, for most babies CIO really does work it is SO hard to hear them crying but once they have learned to put themselves to sleep they are actually happier babies!

What exactly is CIO?
Cry It Out
it works best for babies who either can't fall asleep on their own or can't stay asleep.

Re: We tried CIO!
see, if I ever get to this point and have to use CIO I have no idea how my neighbors could stand it!! For that reason alone I have no idea if I can do it! I live in a townhouse so I'm sure they would hear everything!
