Wearing 'slippers' as shoes?
So I have a pair of bear claw/ugg moccasin type shoe. They totally could be slippers but have a strong sole so I wear them as shoes. Running to target or trader joes...I throw them on.
A family member balked at that. I know I am not the only one who wears this type of shoe as a shoe, right?

Ugh your family would hate to see how I run out then!!! Hahahahaha totally fine to me, I’ve even worn a shoe like this to work in the winter!

Wearing 'slippers' as shoes?
I have similar shoes, but I only wear them in the house as slippers. Sometimes I have them on when I run to the bus stop to get my DD and I feel weird when I do it. For me, I wouldn’t wear them out of the house to a store.

Same here - the farthest I wear mine are to the mail box.

I have the Ugg version of these and used to wear them out for errands and whatnot.... then I saw another mom ahead of me on a checkout line wearing them and didn’t realize how slipper-like they were till I saw them on someone else! I haven’t worn them outside since then.

And as an aside i dont understand people who wear pajama pants out. WHY? I saw someone do this at the movies the other night. You couldnt bother to put real pants on???? So odd and seems like a "long island" thing.

And yes, the PJ pants. Why are so many people so lazy? Jogging pants? Leggings? There are other alternatives.
Reindeer or Santa PJ pants ARE good when you are home opening presents on Christmas morning; not out at a IHOP trying to figure out which pancakes to order.
Its a horror.

It's not like you have to be wearing tight binding jeans or dress pants to go out on the weekends. You can be super casual and super super comfy without wearing what is clearly clearly clearly PJ bottoms.
And to be honest, it always skeeves me a bit because it just screams- I did NOT take a shower today.

I have black ones that look just like the slipper pic you posted, and I wear them out sometimes, to the store or to pick up my kid for example. Not anywhere formal obviously. They're so warm and comfortable! Someone gave them to me and I don't really like wearing slippers around the house much, I just walk around the house in my socks.

I don’t know if I’m just oblivious but I haven’t seen anyone , aside from the occasional teenager, wearing pajama pants in public. I’m going to have to look for it now!
For the slipper shoes, that I have seen and it drives me nuts. A few I wondered if they realized that their shoes look a lot like slippers but then there were a few where there’s no denying it. Definitely not for me.

Same here! I totally did it... when I was 15 and it was "cool".  But now I wear sweats or leggings when I want to be comfy.
Sometimes with my slipper shoes!

And I see it too. All the time.
More so now that I live in Suffolk then when I lived in Nassau.

Question for the 'slipper shoes outside the home people' . . . Do you wear them in the house?
See, we don't wear street shoes past the front door, so if I did opt to go out in my slippers, I wouldn't wear them indoors anymore. That alone would defeat the purpose.

I'm ok with it as long as you wear other slippers for the house. i don't like walking around my house with shoes that are worn outside.
