The site confuses me too! It says, once you fill out the application, to send to local assesor, but I can't tell to what address. Anyone know where to send for Town of Hempstead. TIA

The exception for Nassau County is that the deadline is January 2nd - so you should try to get it in soon.
I posted this on the other thread - but here is the website for Nassau if you want to file for a re-assessment.

DH works for town hall and he contacted the clerk's office about star and gave him the application to apply for star with all the requirements (I believe in sufolk county, town of brookhaven, you can apply for star only if the house you're buying had it when you bought it, but don't take my word on this). The star application for the town of brookhaven is due march 1.
