wedding 4 weeks post-partum

i have a wedding to go to on october 12, i am due september 8th. i know there is no guarantee that Chat Icon will arrive on 9/8, but i am estimating that i will be about 4 week PP by then.

so far (at 30 weeks) i have only gained weight in my belly, and a little in my hips and thighs. i fully expect to have a significant belly pooch at that time, along with ginormous nursing boobs.

so should i start dress shopping now? i seriously doubt i am going to want to do it once Chat Icon arrives, i feel like i should be getting it out of the way now.

any dress suggestions? no strapless/spaghetti straps please - i can't wear a strapless bra!!!

TIA!

ETA: it's a sunday evening wedding at the harbor club in huntington - not quite black tie, but more formal than a day wedding

Honestly - I would wait. Granted, as you said, you're probably not going to feel like doing it - but at the same time, it will give you a good reason to get out of the house for a few hours. Personally, I just wouldn't want to have to guess now how I think my body will be, what size I need, etc.

I agree. As much as it might be a PIA after Chat Icon I don't know how in the world you could ever estimate a size and it might be more work returning a dress and finding a new one that you love as much as the one you would find now, then just waiting it out.
