Wedding and pregnant
I'm going to a day wedding tomorrow and I'm wearing a long black sleeveless dress (It's the only thing that fits me).
What kind of shoes can a pregnant woman get away with?
I so want to wear flip flops...

Re: Wedding and pregnant
Do you have cute flats that are fancy enough? Like ballet flats? Any color would work and then you could match jewelry to it.
Or a kitten heel?

Re: Wedding and pregnant
for summer weddings that aren't black tie, i think you can always get away with fancy/sparkly flip flops (pregnant or not! )
but i am not the kind of person who overdresses for anything, so i don't know if you want to take my advice.

Re: Wedding and pregnant
worst case scenario:
go to target... they're my ballet flat / kitten heel source. All my comfy / dressy shoes come from there!

I have a pair of flip flops that are on the fancy side but I don't know if I should wear them with that dress.

Re: Wedding and pregnant
Wear the shoes into the reception, but bring flip flops or comfy slippers to wear the rest of the night.

This is what I did. I brought my plain everyday black flipflops with me. I put them on 1/2 way thru the reception. I was 33 weeks at the time of the wedding.

I did this at my friend's wedding a few years ago - I was not pregnant, but was training for a marathon and my 20-mile training run was earlier that day, so my feet were done! I was a somewhat casual wedding, but honestly, people take off their shoes at weddings to dance, so I doubt anyone would have an issue w/ a pregnant woman wearing comfortable shoes. It's not as if you will be wearing jeans and a t-shirt with them!!

Re: Wedding and pregnant
I have seen very pretty dressy flip flops (thong sandles) and regular flat dressy sandals (with low or no heels) in patent leather or ones with stones etc - I think if you get a dressy pair of flat sandals or flip flops would be fine - honestly I think most people would understand when you are pregnant that heels aren't really comfortable.
Something like:
Bloomingdales has several pairs of flat dressy sandals (not flip flops) if you check their website.
Nordstroms has a few pairs too - here is one pair.
