Wedding gift question?
I have a wedding this weekend for a coworkers daughter. I have only met the daughter getting married 2 times and only very briefly. The coworker is not that close of a friend of mine either but I rent from a family member of hers so hence the reason for the invite. What should I give? Its at the Crest Hollow on Friday night. I was thinking 250 but some people told me 200 was ok.
TIA

Re: Wedding gift question?
I was discussing this with a friend the other day....a mutual acquaintace is getting married and I said I planned on giving 200, and she called me cheap!!!! Neither one of us planned on being invited, because we really don't know her too well. The bride has openly discussed what she's paying (its around $50 - she knows the hall owners), so I'm 100% positive I'm "covering my plate" (although I hate that term) - I'm sorry, I didn't think $200 was CHEAP for an acquaintance!
(but apparently I let it get to me - which is probably why I responded $250)

Re: Wedding gift question?
$200 is very generous for an acquaintance.
We had family members give less than that (even with dates)

Re: Wedding gift question?
I am getting married in the fall and if my FMIL co-worker gave us $200 i would be more than happy with that! I think $200 is a very nice gift.
