Wedding Related - Sorry in advance
but i need to know from married ladies -
I had my first dress fitting last night - and my FMIL took pictures - and i puposely didnt wear makeup so I wouldn't get it on the dress. But i was just looking at the pictures and I feel like I dont look pretty - at all. like i will be the ugliest bride ever. Can you tell me if you felt this way at your fittings? And did you feel you looked a lot better once your hair and make-up were done?

I looked like a complete, greasy dork at my fittings and (if I do say so myself) looked gawjus on the day of my wedding 
Don't fret, once the hair, makeup and jewelry are in place it all comes together.

Yep - my first fitting was not at all what I pictured. I wanted to cry when I saw the pics.
For my second one I made sure my hair and make-up were nice and I had all the right undergarments on so there were no bulges or bumps.
I was much more pleased the 2nd time!

Sweetie - I felt the same way!! I felt my dress was too plain, I'd look ugly, etc. I promise you that when you are all dressed, made-up, hair,etc. it will all come together and you will be beautiful!!!!

I used to work a bridal salon, and a lot of brides didnt wear makeupfor trials for the same reason as you. Your right it does not look the same. TRUST ME though, when you are all glammed up, you will feel AMAZING!!!!!!!

Not to worry
Its the most formal dress you will ever wear. Think about it... no makeup on and your hair not "done" on one of these gross days after you worked all day... and then the juxtaposition with a very formal dress.
From the neck up I always looked on my dress fitting days. Don't worry it will all come together

Reading it now I am laughing Everyone was right, things would look better with my hair and make-up done and the dress properly fitted.

Oh my god - thank you for finding this!!! I am so happy for all of your responses knowing that i am not alone! I was very upset when i got the photos - really about to cry..... Now i feel like a normal person again!

oh I looked gross at my fittings - no makeup, my hair was a mess. I would just look at myself from the neck down to see what the dress looked like!!

Yes - I felt the same way. I wouldn't even try my dress on without lipgloss because I felt I looked soooo ugly.
You will look beautiful the day of your wedding. Nothing compares to that day when you have your hair and makeup fully done.
ETA: I just looked at pics from one of my fittings - I was soooo pale - my tiara was all crooked -- i was UGLY!!!!

I look back at some of the pictures at the fittings and it's like..EEECCKKKK totally scary! BUT, you will be GORGEOUSSSSS on your wedding day! You not only will have beautiful makeup and "done up" hair- but you will have "that special" glow about you because of your excitement!
