Wedding thank you cards
I was married July 14 of this year. Im finally picking up my thank you cards tomorrow.
is it bad that they prob wont all get out til mid November????

The one year rule applies to guests giving gifts to the couple, which never made sense to me.
Thank you cards should go out as soon as possible. People in this area are more patient because we are used to waiting for the picture.

Ok thanks ladies. I mean, it took 7 wks to get my proofs and then i held onto them for about 2 wks looking etc and then 2-3 wks to get the thank yous in so.... i wasnt purposely putting them off. It was mostly out of my control

Technically you should get them out by 3 months. I didn't even CHOOSE my thank yous for 6 months and it took me over a month to get them all out, so I say don't sweat it! I'm sure most of your guests won't even realize they're late.

My TY cards took just as long (I think we might have had the same photographer).
I got married in June and my thank you's went out last week - 4 1/2 months after the wedding.
At this point, even if someone cared, nothing you can do about it now. You just got the thank you's...tough noogies on them if they expected something sooner!

It's true. Things got really hectic for us with Christopher being born and we ended up sending ours about a month before our year anniversary.

I am guilty of sending ours out right before out 1 year anniversary.
I actually had most of them written about 6 months after our wedding. I had a bunch of thank you's that I didn't really know the people that well, or they were just stumping me as to what to say. So I held off.
I wish I got them out sooner, but I did get them out!
and yes technically you do have a year.

seriously, yes you have a year to send them out. i am mailing ours out this week, before i start hearing "where is my thank you?"  that would be from dh's side.
i got a thank you in sept for a wedding i went to in april so don't sweat it.
