I miss my birdies!!!

All of my feeders were destroyed by the squirrels and I've been concerned about putting out seed/nuts on the ground since neighbor cat adopted us!

Re: Weekend birding pics with my new lens

YAY! Chat Icon I love seeing birding pics!! Congratulations on your new glass. What did you wind up getting and from where? Did you get a tripod too?

I went to Wild Bird Unlimited again this week. I swear they're going to start calling me by name soon. Chat Icon And I got a new baffle for my feeder that looks like a witch's hat.

I also got this bungee cord contraption that you screw ears of corn to the end of and hang from a tree so it's at least a few feet off the ground. THAT is sure to keep the squirrels busy, and away from my feeder. I've been reading that they prefer corn over peanuts anyway. Which I can't imagine, judging by your pics and mine, ALL birds love peanuts. Chat Icon

I'll let you all know how it goes, especially you Wendy. Hopefully it will allow you to put your bird feeder up again?
