weekend getaway?
since I am not keen on flying we decided we want to go somewhere for our anniversary in November and drive.. so far I have thought of Niagra Falls and Boston.. anyone have any suggestions where we can go?

What about Newport?
As for Niagara Falls - driving up in Nov can be kind of stnky esp if the weather doesn't cooperate. Buffalo gets slammed with snow and ice starting at that time of year. If you want to contend with that, try it. You'll have fun, but it will be cold.

we drove to Niagra falls in the winter, and luckly we didnt have to bad of weather. the falls were so beautiful in the winter, and at the time it was chaep, but since the dollar isn't worth much, i dont know if its worth going. Also a lot of things are closed when theres ice aruond the falls (we had been there before and saw a lot of it so it wasn't a big deal to us) but if you drive all that way and can't see half the stuff it might not be worth it.
how about the finger lakes? I've heard really great things about it. Or what if you went south? are you set on going north?
you could go to virgina, i'm pretty sure theres a bunch of stuff to do there

Newport is really nice. Plenty of shopping, restaurants/bars, mansions to tour,etc.
