Why do people feel pregnancy is a time to comment on a woman's weight?
Seriously I can't stand it! Yesterday my Aunt goes wow you're as big as a house. Thanks that really makes me feel really great!
I quickly responded back "don't say that" that's about all I could say at the moment. But now I keep replaying what she said in my mind! !!

I don't understand why people think it gives them the right to talk about your weight. I have the opposite problem - I've only gained 14 lbs at 28 weeks and have had SEVERAL STRANGERS make comments about how small I am and am I sure the baby is ok? It's SO rude!

It's the worst. The other day my friend told me that my "skin cleared up so much" I just responded thanks lol. People think bc you are pg it's ok to point out flaws, like you somehow no longer care about your looks or body lol. So annoying. I also hate when people ask to see my belly lolol. I'm a little uptight though, I'll admit.

People suck. I was a big girl to begin with, lost a lot in the first tri, and gained very little back..... But my belly is HUGE. I hated it when people would tell me I don't look pregnant, that to me just felt like they were saying how fat I was. Now, you can't deny that I'm oregnant, but depending on what I wear, because of my boobs, I don't look quite as far along as I am, which makes it hard because I definitely feel it.

People really need to keep their comments to themselves. I only recently really started putting weight on...at the begining people were like you're so small; someone even asked if everythign was ok with the baby?
Can't win!

Ugh people are so rude! I'll never forget, at Easter Dinner in front of everyone, my MIL said "are you sure there's only 1 in there"? Yes I'm sure thank you very much!

I've found that the best reply is to smile big and say "You know, it's considered really rude to make mean comments about a woman's looks...whether or not she's pregnant."
Sometimes, u can follow up with "I think I look pretty good."
If they protest, "OK. Just don't say I didn't warn 'ya!"
Smiling the whole time.

I don't know why people are rude. I get you are all belly and your getting big, it's like thanks I haven't noticed! Also people constantly argue with me that I am having a boy when I tell them no I had the genetic test it's a girl. Also I have some carbs people comment and look at what I get for lunch in the cafe and say I should eat carbs, thanks.
