weird experience this morning.. question

So i moved away form the area i grew up in but i am there every day to take my dd to the sitter. So i stop in thelocal bagel store today and the guy in fornt of me turns around to leave and we look at each other like i know you but dont say anyting.. I casually looked out the window and saw he was looking back too. I know exactly who it was (a guy i hungout with and like three of my friends dated at somepoint or another). So seeing thsi guy just brought back a ton of memories to that time in my life ( summer after senior year in hs) and just had me thinking how much things have changed since then ..for the better, mostly.

I have this complex where i now wait for the other person to say hello because like 4 times i have recognized someone and they dont remeber me so emabarrasing!

When you see someone who you know eactly who it is but arent 100% sure they know you do you approach that person?

Sorry long.. for one silly question

I depends. DH and I stilll live in the town we went to high school in, so we see a lot of people when they come home to visit their parents. If they look like they think we look familiar we'll say hi, I'm Cathy x from high school. If they don't look like they remember us we don't say anything.

Ohhh! I know the feeling. It is a strange predicament to be in for sure. That moment when your eyes meet feels like an eternity!!! I usually just smirk with a tiny smile Chat Icon (just not to be rude) & Chat Icon that they say something. I had one guy come up to me & swore he knew me from HS. I had no idea in the world who he was & felt like an idiot because I couldn't recall his name or face Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon (And I'm usually really good with things like that)

i tend to wait until they say something to me, i'm shy like that! lol i also live 2 hours away from where i went to HS, so it doesn't happen too often.

DH on the other hand is super outgoing, and hes usually one to go up to them and say hi. we live in teh town he grew up in, so we run into his old classmates all the time.
