weird question about internal sono
the lady asked me if i wanted to put it in myself..... i said no, but whats the norm, do you put it in yourself or does the tech do it?

I've never done it myself. When I was seeing the RE, I had sono's every week starting at 5 weeks, and never once was I asked if I wanted to do it myself.

When I was still at my RE's office, they always had me do the insert myself. I actually think it's a little more pleasant that way...

The only time I had one was at 11 weeks when I had a bleeding scare.
The doctor inserted it, but it didn't bother me at all. I never realized people did it themselves.

Both. I'm asked by the tech, not by my dr. I actually prefer to do it myself. Like a pp said, i can guide it better.

she asks me to put it in about 2 inches in and then she does the rest-the whole internal thing just always bothered me - that instrument is way too close to resembeling other objects LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
