Weird vision issues when pg

Has anyone else had a hard time w/their eyes and/or wearing contacts while pg?

Last night I had to take my contacts out out because my eyes felt like they were throbbing/pulsing & I started seeing weird prism-like floaters. It made me dizzy & gave me a headache Once I took my lenses out my eyes were fine - they just felt a bit tired.

I remember this happening a few times w/my 1st pg, so I'm pretty sure it's nothing big; I was just wondering if anyone else has pg vision-related problems? Is this a common thing?

personally, I have not, but it may have to do with your sinuses beging messed up which is pretty common with pregnancy. Hope you feel better soon!

I haven't had those issues but I notice that my eye sight is off and I have read that if you were glasses it can be effected.

YES! That totally happened to me! It happened when I was pregnant with my DD. I went to an opthamologist because it was really bothering me and I was getting worried about it. I had those prism-like floaters too - like bright lights, right? I had them with my contacts on and off. He did an exam and found nothing wrong. He actually said that these kinds of things can definitely be hormonal. It was at the beginning of my pregnancy too. It went away quickly after that, but if it persists, you probably should check it out, just in case! I would say that it's probably hormonal.

Thanks Alyssa - that's it! I'm glad to hear it's not just me! I try describing it to my dh, but this is the look I get lol I feel like the girl with kaleidoscope eyes. I don't remember if it happened w/out my contacts last time, but so far I've been lucky this time. I'm wearing my glasses today for the first time in about 3 years though - just in case...

ETA: I've been doing some research on Google & I think it probably is hormonal like you gals think. Hopefully things will "level off" in time and this will stop!

my eyes have not been correct since im pregnant. and deff worse with my contacts then my glasses.
