Well, I had a "first" as a mommy today...
Oh my, this is probably a little gross, but I'll share anyway. So, we all went out to dinner tonight, aunts, uncles, my parents, etc. We had been out all day and it was a hectic day. Ava turned to me and said, "Poopy!", and sure enough, she had a poopy. My sister accompanied me to the bathroom to change Ava, only for me to realize I never reloaded my diaper bag with diapers when I stopped at the hotel! We were in a little village with no stores around, just boutiques and no one in the restaurant had a baby, so I couldn't even ask anyone for a diaper. Anyway, and here comes the gross part....It wasn't a messy poopy, so we cleaned Ava up and cleaned out the diaper, lined it with a maxi pad and went on our merry way It took 16 months for this to happen to me, this was the first time ever! And I'm pretty sure it'll be the last time ever because I never want to roam the streets looking for a diaper again!

i agree!!! that was brilliant!! i would have totally been stressed and would have left the restaurant to go back to the hotel.

It happens but for the quick thinking.
I have 2 and you would think I would know by now to carry wipes. Well when DD was around 7 weeks she pooped and well BF poopy is messy. I had no wipes but I had an extra set of clothes for her and bottled water (I always keep at least 1 bottle in the car). Since her onsie was already a mess I used water and her shirt to clean her up.

That's what makes us mommies - ingenuity at the worst possible moments 
P.S. I had a similar incident, ironically enough, on DH's birthday when we were out to dinner - Alex was only a few months old.
Ever since then, I keep a bag in each car, stocked full of diapers, wipes, a bottle of water, an extra paci, a change of clothes and a blankie.
