I didn’t see the video, but Freedom of Speech does not mean you can say what you want. There are exceptions, one of them being a false statement of fact, I believe.
He said nothing false.
Do we know if he was an actual police officer? That could be why it was taken down.
Although, I agreed some of what he was saying, the handcuffs hanging over the mirror , and gun standing up behind him with the Flag - seemed more like a movie scene than a personal PSA. It was a bit much. (I also didn’t see the whole thing, it was too long Lol)
FB is under a lot of scrutiny for having false information on their site. For them to survive as a company they had to switch their protocols for the content they allow. Sometimes it may seem like they are taking a page down as censorship, but often it is a fake page to get clicks and views. Or the person is not who they say they are. It all boils down to dollars. The company is more concerned with losing revenue and not getting fined.
He seems to be a real PO. There’s also another PO that recently posted a video as well. I was trying to share that one too but it seems that it was also taken down. It’s not just FB but also YouTube, Instagram, Amazon, etc. They do no want the public to have access to any type of info that does not align with what the government allows whether it’s legit or not. As a person, it’s impossible to make an informed decision and make our own judgment when u have limited info on things (when the government is the one choosing what info is out there), this is the reason why I’m so against censorship.
That’s not how it works. FB, YouTube, Instagram, etc. are all private companies. They can take down what they like on their sites. That’s why you agree to terms and conditions. The government does not have a part in FB. The first amendment is against GOVERNMENT censorship. You know like the way China bans FB. FB is the one taking down the (mis)information.
I’d have a problem if the government banned FB, but it’s FB taking content down. They can do what they like. Kind of like you had a blog or YouTube channel and you took down comments you didn’t like. You are within your rights to do that.

Maybe his department had him take it down?
Probably- didn't think of that He was in uniform so maybe they don't want people doing stuff like that while in their uniform, etc
Exactly. Honestly when I saw it I was surprised to see him in uniform AND in the police cruiser.

This. I was also surprised too and why I thought maybe he wasn’t a real police officer.
