well today I did something that broke my heart
I packed up my breast pump and put it away. I still BF Nina but only at night when she is going to bed or if she wakes in the middle of the night. I can't believe how hard this is for me. I never expected to love BF her so much.

Awwwww Kristin....
I had a hard time BF'ing with her latching, so I pumped..... but then I started drying up, and that hurt my heart, so I know what you mean.... I loved her having part of me after not being inside of me anymore....

It is hard.....but it will get easier....and you will like your new found freedom. By the end I felt like I was straped to that pump.
ETA I BF DD at night only for a little while and then one day she weaned off herself. It was upsetting, but I knew it was time.

I had to stop at 6 mos b/c I randomly stopped producing milk. I miss that closeness but now that he is crawling and walking it's soooo much fun. Good luck Friend

I understand your anguish. I haven't put my pump away just yet, but it appears to be time because I haven't nursed or pumped for two weeks and I don't feel full anymore.
