We're about to add 4 more paws to our family!

A friend of ours has to get rid of his 2yo english yellow(white) lab and we're taking her!

Her name is Bailey she is about 60lbs and has the sweetest manors. I think she'll make a nice addition to the family. We also have Gus who is a 3yo american yellow lab and Daisy our 1yr old cat. Gus is about 65lbs bigger then her and 3-4 inches taller. He is a MAJOR Alpha dog and a momas boy. How do you think we should blend Bailey into his world??? Any tips, suggestions, or ideas would be great. Tonight I'm going to Wal-Mart to get her a new bed, toys, bowls, collar, and leash and also a new bed and toys for Gus but her stuff will not come out until we get her tomorrow. I'll post pics as soon as I can...TIA on any advice!!

My chihuahua is the same way, an "only child" and a total alpha. We just rescued another chihuahua on Wednesday and I was so afraid that she wouldn't take to the new one. I bough baby gates to help them get acclaimated to each other without actually being able to make contact. Also, you could try keeping them on a leash and maybe on neutral terrority if you can?
