I'm type A in general and with TTCing for DD I was in overdrive, and almost made DH go nuts...this is our first month of TTCing and I know for a fact that we BD'd too early today and tomorrow would be ideal With DD being sick today DH and I are totally not feeling it and I'm trying with all my might to not force ourselves to BD just bc I know it would be perfect...we want to take more of a laid back approach bc I really was a nutcase last time...So were you less crazy about TTCing the second time around????

I am totally not TTCing ANYTIME soon, but I just wouldn't have the time to be charting, temping, doing OPKs, checking CM... I had LOTS of free time before DS to be super anal (and it did work out in having him born the exact month we wanted).

No I was just as crazy if not crazier the second time around. I became crazier as time went on because I kept having MCs the second time around but I do think that craziness worked because I got PG all but one time that we tried...

I was much much more anal.
I was more laid back with DD because I knew that it could take a few months to get pregnant. So, we took a "let's see what happens" approach and I got pregnant the first month.
When TTC #2, I just wanted to be pregnant immediately and would have gone crazy it if it took months and month, so I charted, used a saliva microscope and OPKs.  A bit over the top.

see I did the OPK's and the monitor the first time around, and was losing it, seriously losing it every time I didn't get pregnant when we tried...this time around I don't want to get that way but totally feel that I may bc I want to TRY to time DC#2 well...DD was a winter baby and I'm trying my hardest to not have a winter baby as well as have a nice age difference that I feel OK with...

I was so anal with DS (1st pregnancy).
Charting and all. Craziness. LOL
With DD it was simply "Whatever happens, happens" and she was conceived a lot faster that DS was.
I think the "eeeh whatever happens approach" is a lot less stressful.

With DS we were trying and using OPKs for a few months. When I got AF the same day SIL announced preg #3 I lost it and spent a day in tears. Then I said the heck with it and got preg that month no opks, charting, just a Yom Kippur morning I was off from work
With #2, it was in the back of my mind that my mom wasn't able to have a second child and I feared that would be the case. Even with OPKs, charting it still took longer and I was pretty crazy the last few months.
Regardless, we were delighted with the results

More anal this time around.
DS was a first shot baby. We conceived him on the cycle before our first month TTC so there wasn't even time to be anal about it.
This is our second month TTC for our second. I didn't know how disappointing a BFN would be. For our second cycle, I got clearblue digital ovulation kits.

I just knew my body better the 2nd time around, so that part was less stressful. I also knew it only took one time so I was fine with BDing only once the day before I was supposed to O. I ended up Oing two days later and still got pregnant. I think I am just lucky we had no issues

I would just think about it this way, you needed to do something to pass the time, fasting is hard...

I am a nutcase. We just started TTC this past month. I used an OPK for DS and it worked on the first shot. This month it didn't work and now I am super stressed about it. I was much more laid back with DS.

With DD we were very relaxed. I didn't chart. I didn't take temps. I actually just did it when I felt in the mood Sometimes it was 2AM and I couldn't sleep
Now we are thinking of trying again and I think since we are so fickle about whether or not we want a second, we will be relaxed again and if it happens then it was meant to be and if after a year, nothing happens, then it wasn't meant to be.

More.
With DD (our first), I got pregnant our first month TTC-no big whoop.
With DS we went though 3 months, got pregnant, had miscarriage, 3 more months, OPKS and Pre seed and then got pregnant with him.

I had good intentions to take the whatever happens approach but I didn't stick with that. Luckily I got pregnant with Colin immediately so it didn't get out if hand. I wish I had the willpower to just let nature take its course but I'm not sure I have it in my to be that relaxed ;)

I was much worse with #3. With #1, it was a "whatever happens happens" approach and we got pregnant the first month. With DS we werent even trying So I had assumed when we actually planned for it to happen, it would happen the first month! Well it didnt and I drove my DH absolutely bonkers. Thank god it worked on the second month - first month with OPK
