What a busy baby weekend! (super busy at 29weeks)

Whew!

So, all week I’ve been busy with work and other stuff. Wed/Thurs I got home past 8pm. With all that’s going on, I had to coordinate my hubby to clean up both our old office and old living room to prep for “move” day.

Week chores included:
Hooking up all data feeds for computer and TV
Start cleaning out both my old living room and old office

Friday:::
Went to Home Depot and picked out our nursery colors

Saturday:::
Drop off Laundry
Went Father’s Day shopping (sort of)
Went to a Baby Shower cookout thing (Jack & Jill) lasted from 3pm to 7pm.
Finally cleared out EVERYTHING from both rooms in the room that wasn’t essential to be left behind or too heavy to move.
Moved cable box and game console to the new living room

Sunday:::
Got up early and vacuumed as much as humanly possible. Moving the couch myself (not lifting) to get all behind and not embarrass myself later
Cleaned up the hall, kitchen and gave the bathroom a good once over just in case
Met up with friends at 9am to start “move” day at Babys R Us (yeah, didn’t know they don’t open until 11am!!!)
Went back to Home depot, picked up our rug for the baby room
Got back to the house with manly help and started up some of the moving
*** Moved the sofa from the old living room to the new living room
*** Moved the TV set over
*** Repositioned the TV stand
*** Put down the new rug
*** Put the crib in the baby room
*** Put the Ikea box for the Dresser in the baby room from outside storage
*** Put the Ikea box for the shelves in the baby room from outside storage
*** Put the Ikea box for the chair/bed in the baby room from outside storage
*** Brought in the mirrors to the baby room from the attic
*** Brought in the chair/bed mattress from the attic
*** Moved the old TV Stand (which is really a night table) in the baby room
Took my friends to breakfast – which seemed fair
Then back to Babys R Us to pick up the Glider
*** Moved the glider and ottoman into the baby room
*** Gave my other extra chair to the friends instead of trashing it (yeah)
All the while keeping cold water ready for both men and did I mention the other woman is preggers too!

Whew!!!! I warned my friends that I had a list and I had a plan
All that before 2pm

Get in the car and drive to Brooklyn for Father’s day lunch
Pick up laundry
Come home by 8pm

Took my hubby to cheesecake factory as a thank you for dessert


This week’s project: Paint the room
Weekend, finish painting and start building Ikea stuff!

Hubby says he is TERRIFIED of my “nesting” stage!

I love organizing and planning out action plans.
I like thinking of every detail I can and trying to delegate man power to get what I want done, done. On top of saving money, of course!

Getting lots of cool stuff and an awesome price is always a huge pride thing for me.

I waited so long to be sure to do all this because I was terrified that I would paint the room, get the stuff then lose the baby. I’d be so devastated! But I am finally stepping forward and jumping with both feet.

And as my hubby knows, when I get a bug up my butt, stand back! He’s been such a sport.

Should have seen my wedding planning! Hah!
