I see a smile!! Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon I'm confused? Chat Icon

So am I.

Are you implying that my kid never smiles?

It wasn't meant to be insulting, sorry if you took it that way. Like Emma, I don't see a lot of pictures of Jack smiling so I was excited that I saw some Chat Icon

It kind of IS insulting actually. I would never say "Oh how nice - a picture of Emma smiling - it's so rare to see!" - that's just rude IMO.

Anyway - not even getting into this - I know my kid is happy and smiles so I don't need to justify it.

To everyone else - thanks for responding! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Diana, I don't think Summer meant it in a rude way. We ALWAYS tease her about Emma never smiling, look at my post from last week, I actually said "Emma Smiles!"

I don't need the whole bandwagon of people to come on and say that she was kidding.

Difference is - YOU are friends with her in real life. If one of my FRIENDS made a comment that is a private joke about Jack - I would laugh. To someone who is not a friend IRL - I would never go there. It's rude. End of story.

Oh geez, I wasn't the only person that commented about a smile. Relax, I didn't mean anything insulting by it.

Even though you didn't mean any harm in your comment it was inappropriate and I can see how someone would be offended.

Yikes! I commented about his smile because that boy has a smile that could melt anyone...he's got such a great grin Chat Icon He was flashing his pearly whites at me the other day, I got to see 'em in person Chat Icon

I could see how she's kind of be taken aback, even if you meant no harm...I now my DD rarely smiles in pictures but she smiles all the time. She clams up as soon as the camera comes out Chat Icon

As does mine! Again, no harm no foul, I didn't imply he wasn't a happy kid who never smiles. Was just happy to see his smile in the posted picsChat Icon

I ran into another mommy yesterday at the pool that knew DD back in the winter and almost cried when she just kept repeating over and over OMG she has gotten so big running all over and continually commenting on how much she has changed. It was so cute to watch but so sad to think that this time last year she was such a little helpless thing.
