What a morning!
So I woke up yesterday with light spotting that went away then all last night i had cramping. Well, I woke up at 4am to go to the bathroom and I was spotting( very light) again, went to the bathroom at 4:30am still spotting, went to the bathroom at 5:45-no spotting. Then I went to the bathroom at 9:45 and had heavier spotting and worse cramping. I started freaking out and crying. I made DH call my doctor because i couldn't even pull myself together. The doctor called back and said that it is probably the placenta attaching and when it does it can break blood vessels which can cause you to bleed a little and cramp. He said my chances of a miscarriage are very low because I have already seen the yok sac, embryo and heartbeat. I have to go in on Monday morning for a sono and please pray that everything will be ok. Monday is my birthday and I am so scared it may be the worst birthday ever.

Re: What a morning!
I had bleeding at 12 weeks. Freaked me out but my doc said it was the same exact thing, placenta bursting a blood vessel. Alls well and now my baby is 1 year old!!

Re: What a morning!
I still have the spotting. I don't know what to do. Maybe I should just go to the ER for a sonogram. I just don't like the color of it. It's a dark red/brown- almost black. No cramping though.

Re: What a morning!
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Try not to stress out in the time being. I'm sure if the dr though there was a slight chance of things not bring so great, he would have advised you do see him or the ER asap. Hang in there

I had the same thing, they said it was a high tear in the sac, totally fine and normal, have you been overdoing it lately (on your feet for long hrs, phsyically over-exerting yourself)? Brown blood is safer than bright red, I was always informed that brown was old blood, red was new blood and a sign of distress. Go to the ER f it will make you feel better, I did! I started spotting on Easter morning and by the night time it had increase so I went right to the ER, and i was so relieved to hear everythiung was fine, it will put your mind at ease for the next 24 hrs.
