What age did DC start the sippy cup? and...
How did you do it?
Because DS is having trouble he doesn't like the flow (too fast), only when he has a yogurt juice its OK, but he has to lounge back.
Does anyone have any tips/tricks, etc. to get him comfortable?

We started the end of last spring so he was around 9 months old. It took him awhile but he eventually caught on...

5 months and I put water in it. Cold water. I then switched to straw cups at like 8 months.

Same here. DS is 6 months now & her knows to tilt his head back orlean back to get more...... I plan to start putting diluted juice in it next month & formula at 9 months. My goal to have him off bottles during the day by the time he is 12 months.

he was 6 months old....we just did trial and error with different cups and the nuby straw worked best. It took him a few days to get the hang of it, but he did.

we're starting now, she's getting the hang of it very slowly she knows to put the spout in her mouth, but its the tilt back that we're working on...
ETA: she just turned 6 mos

We also just started trying. She loves holding onto it, but can't drink from it yet. I just put a little water inside. I may try the straw cup eventually.

I started when DS was 6 months. he was already holding his bottle on his own so i figured why not try.
we were using the avent bottles, so i just bought the sippy cup attachment. he only drank water in it though.

I've started to introduce it to him after every meal, I put 1 oz of water and help him with it. He's starting to get the hang of it. He's 5 months.

We offered it to her starting at 6 months. Didn't push it so it would annoy her, but just filled it with water and put it out so she would get comfortable with it.
Around 8 or 9 months, she started actually using it. By a year she had mastered both the sippy and the straw cups!

I tried transitioning at 12 months...but it didn't take til she was around 16 months.

I'm glad you posted that you started at 12 months---I don't feel alone. DS is 14 months on the 28th.

I think we started it around 6 months. She was drinking water out of it by 7-8 months.
