What age did you stop using a stroller?

DS is 2, not ready to give up the stroller, but he's outgrowing our Bugaboo Bee. I love how easy it is to push, the size of the basket, etc. But I think we're looking for something roomier for him and an umbrella fold for the sake of our small house.

Any recommendations?

DS is almost 2 and is hardly in the stroller anymore. But when we went to the bellmore fair last weekend I definitely needed it. I have the city mini and there is definitely room for him to grow. I dont think I'll ever need another stroller.

<2 - she was not a stroller type. She walked early also (11mnths) so I think that had something to do with it.

funny I see big kids 3-5yrs old sometimes in strollers either sleeping or chill'n .. wished my kids did that..

depending on where we go my 4 yr old will sometimes still use the stroller...my 2.5 yr old uses it a lot bec otherwise I have to carry him after a short distance...

I'm so sorry you're outgrowing it, but this is one of the things that we were told about bugaboo.

We have the uppababy vista and DS is the height of an average 2 year old, and he fits with room to spare.

We looked at lightweight recently, I havent' seen the G-Lite, but we saw almost everything else, and the Combi Cosmo is huge. I would recommend it for a tall baby. We are considering it.

I still use the stroller for my almost 2 year old DD. DS likes that he can stand on the back. It is a peg perego pliko P3.

I stop using it at 2 with both girls.

My 3 yo still loves the stroller as well as my 22 month old.

DD#2 will be 3 in november and i can't remember the last time she was in a stroller when out and about.

HOWEVER

now that DD#1 is biking to school in the morning, i plop DD#2 in the stroller and jog. she sometimes tries to fight it, but it's the only way we get to school safe and on time

the jogger i still use, the maclaren is collecting dust...

DS was in the stroller until the twins were born (3 months shy of 3). Then he was forced to walk because I don't have a triple.

We went to the Bronx zoo a few weeks ago and I brought my peg perego for him. Figuring with all the walking at some point he want to hitch a ride. Not once did he want to sit in the stroller. So basically DH pushed an empty stroller the whole day Guess we won't be bringing it anymore for him.

DD is almost 4 and other than the outlets or a place like Dutch Wonderland, doesn't use a stroller at all anymore.

DS Stopped using one between 3 & 3.5. Before DS2 was born we would sometimes bring it with us, but never strapped DS in, he would just hop in and out when he pleased.

He out grew his old stroller at 2.5yo (well technically at 2 yo when he reached 40lbs but I kept the stroller until 2.5yo) and I get got a stroller that went up to 55lbs. I can't recommend it though because I think it was discontinued. Its a Cynthia Rowley.

I dont think I could get my DD in one for more than a few mins. She will be 3 soon.

I used the Maclaren with Noah probably up until he was 4 maybe. Probably, like you, I do try to walk everywhere so it was just too much for him to walk into town to run errands, etc...

I really love my Maclaren, I am still using it with Immi. My house is also small, so I do leave it in my car most of the time. Its easy to fold and pick up.

I think 2. He would sit in it with no problems, but he was just as good walking next to us holding our hands. It was almost easier not using the stroller.

DD is 3 and we still use it. Not so much for quick trips but when there is going to be a lot of walking we need it.

Thanks everyone. I should've mentioned, we walk everywhere, don't have a car, etc.

Rachel - which Maclaren do you have? Do you find it easy to push?

DS who is 2 1/2 requests to use his stroller any time there is walking involved. He's pretty lazy and refuses to walk anywhere.

DS is 2 and still using the stroller. We have a Peg P3 and a maclaren quest. Love them both but whenever we have #2 I plan on getting a sit n stand so he has a bit of freedom.

Dd's are 4 and 18 months.

The older will walk, but If I have both I need my sit and stand. I don't plan on giving it up anytime son.

DD will be two soon and there is no way I'm giving it up anytime soon. She still sits in it, and when she gets antsy I let her walk for a little and put her back in.

Around 2 my DD (now 3) stopped wanting to ever be in the stroller but then around 2 1/2 she started getting back into being in there, it's like a novelty now because she doesn't use it often. I still like having it with me in the car because when she's really tired and I have things to get done she will hang out in there and we ALWAYS have it with us on vacation, that's a MUST!!

I was totally jealous of all the cool strollers with older (than Ann) kids in them when we were at Disney this past week.

We have a Graco Vie4 and sometimes her feet are on the wheels so I'm thinking of getting something she has room to grow in.

Since she's at daycare all week it's not like we use the stroller all that much but I'd much rather have the option than having to carry her if she's not in a walking mood
