What age do you start feeding food besides breastmilk?
I'm wondering when I can start slowly weening  off breast milk and slowly start feeding him some real food...

I believe the earliest they recommend is about 4 months....you've got a ways to go!

The first thing is rice cereal at 4 months and that is just a little at a time.

6 months is the usual recommendation, early by doctor's suggestion.

My doc said at 4 months we could start cereal...we started around 4 1/2 months but it didn't decrease her intake of BM dramatically...
I would say around 6 or 7 months when she went to 3 meals/day was when I saw a bigger decrease in the amt of BM she was drinking...

6 months.
My son hated baby food. At 10 months he is starting to eat more because I give him table food now.

It will get easier!
We started at his 6 month growth spurt (1 week before 6mo).
We're pretty much giving him almost the same amount of milk at 7 months. I don't see him eating any less milk for the next couple months either...

At first, food does NOT replace breast milk (or formula) feedings. It is in addition to it, so you are actually feeding them more often.
We started cereal at 5 months & jarred fruits right before 6 months. 8 months we started with bananas and avocado mashed, then we started with real table food.
