What Age for a Toddler Bed
My boys are 20 months now.....and one of them jumps so much in his crib that two springs have broken, so its only a matter of time before the last one goes. Was wondering at what age we should start looking into this.

Ella just moved into her new bed last week (not a toddler bed). She'll be two next month.

We just moved into a twin bed lastnight. DD was 2 in March.

We started transitioning Nate into a toddler bed around 23 months.

DS is 21 months and still in the crib. Since he never tried to climb out I figured I would leave him in there as much as possible.

That's so smart!! I wish I hadn't transitioned when I did (around 26 months).

My daughters are 2 1/2 they are still in their cribs. They love them & I have no intentions on moving them.

Thanks. I figure that when I get preggo with #2 (which I hope is this summer) then I will start to transition him to a toddler bed.

They were tryint to climb out at 2years and 5 months so we concerted their cribs into toddler beds at that point.

Bella is 2 years and 8 months and is still in the crib. She hasn't made any attempts to climb out except one time back in February. We plan to do it when she is 3 unless we suddenly need to do it sooner.
I KNOW our bedtime routine will hit an alltime low once she officially realizes the "freedom"

At 2 my DD was climbing out of her crib several times a night. We unfortunately had no other choice besides a crib tent  I wouldn't start a transition unless I absolutely had to

Thanks Ladies! I really didn't want to transition anytime soon, but with the spring issue on one of their beds, I don't know what I am going to do if he breaks the crib. He'll have to be in a pak n play until we can even get a bed. Ughhh....I was hoping to leave them in their till they were 3!

Not to scare you, but it was torturous for napping when they were out of thier cribs fro a while. Now they are back to normal, but they always had someone to entertina them when they should have been napping and it made for some destructive afternoons. Keep them in the cribs for as long as possible!!!!!
