Moms that transitioned to a toddler bed before age 2

DS is doing really great in his toddler bed. He sleeps through the night and he wakes up talking and stays in there for a good half an hour talking. My only problem is I can't get him to fall asleep in his bed. I end up laying on his floor with him.

How long did it take for your DC to fall asleep on there own in their new bed?

Any suggestions?

they went in ther beds i layed onthe floor between them for about 1 week then they did on there own.... good luck!!

My son has been in his bed for about three months and most nights I still sit on the edge of his bed until he falls asleep. He never fell asleep without me staring at him though, even in the crib. I'm no help. I usually read him books until he falls asleep.
