What age for Build a Bear?

I've never been, but heard there is a Snoppy toy now Chat Icon

DS is 4 and DD is 2. Are these good ages and is it worth the $$/

We would probably go to the Roosevelt Field Mall location.

I was thinking to take DD for her 2nd birthday. Someone gave us a gift card a while back so I thought it might be nice to go do.

Re: What age for Build a Bear?

We took our kids for their 2nd birthday, and they weren't ready at all. They had no interest in picking a bear, stuffing it or picking clothes. DS just wanted to touch everything and DD had an on the floor tantrum in the middle of the store.
We will be taking them back for their 3rd bday in a few months though, I think they are ready now.

We took Kaydyn there last year. She was almost 3. She liked picking out the bear and the clothes, but didn't really get the whole heart and stuffing idea. She loves her bear though and sleeps with it every night.

You have to stuff the bear?! Chat Icon Chat Icon I had no idea. I thought you just pick a bear and get it some clothes, lol. Maybe I'll have to rethink this.

If they like stuffed animals take them!! I took DD#1 when she was about about 20 months or so. I took DD#2 when she was 18 months. They both enjoyed it. Honestly though it is kind of a quick thing. You just pick out a bear then stand in line. As you go down they offer you a few options. There isn't much to it other than kissing a heart and making some choices.

I take AJ in at 3yrs old all the time. We never buy a thing. She just wants to play with all the clothes and steal a heart. LOL she takes one for each of us. (yes they see her and know and don’t care).

Hubby told me about the snoopy too. Still don’t think she’d care.
