What are good things to do with a 14 month old?
Tried taking Maddie to the libraries story/song time today and all she wanted to do was go through all the moms handbags and run around! I signed her up for a music class that starts in Sept, but honestly I don't see how she's going to stay still during it. We have a membership at My Gym, so maybe I'll try that again, but I wasn't impressed the first time around....
Any ideas?? TIA!

I take Ale to the park with the dog a lot. GTGs with other moms. Gymboree (but we are signed up - I liked it better than My Gym).
Call some places around you to see if you can do a trial class. I've done 2 with Ale this summer.

GTG's with other moms/kids. Park Beach or pool (while it's nice out). Stroller Strides Gymboree/The Little Gym Children's Museum Movie theatre which have special showings for Moms and babies/toddlers.

Re: What are good things to do with a 14 month old?
Honestly?
Cailen is just not a "structured" type of kid - he does stuff like what Madison was doing wherever we go - so I bring him places where there is also the option to run around - petting zoos, farms, playgrounds, beach...
also music together lets a kid participate or run around, so thats a good option...
I almost signed him up for Gymboree when they had that 2-for special, but when we went to the trial, he was doing his own thing, I was like - I can do this anytime for FREE at a playground....
I really think that there is such a push to put kids in playgroups and programs and its unnecessary. People bring their newborns to classes and all these types of things, and its a huge money-sucking racket, if you ask me!
toddlers want to run, play, explore... they don't want to sit and follow directions, I have discovered!!!
