What are injectables?

My doctor said clomid won't help me since I ovulate and my cycles are regular, so he wants to do injectables. He said they are little and you give them to yourself in your stomach area.

Is this hard to do? Does it hurt? Is it like a long needle or something you push into yourself? Are there side efects? Sorry if these are dumb questions but I really have no idea, and I know many of you have done this.

They really aren't that bad...the needle is small. The first one is the hardest because you work yourself up about it...but after you do the first one, you'll see how easy it becomes. Good luck!!! Baby dust!!!

yes it is a small thin needle that you literally dont even feel. It is so easy!

You honestly dont feel the needles. The hardest part is giving it to yourself because its so abnormal and your weirded out by having to do it, so you tend to freeze, but then once you see how it doesnt hurt its fine.

As far as what type of meds you will get is another story. The Dr. will need to explain that to you, theres a few different kinds.

one piece of advice..call your insurance company and find out if you need pre-approval or to get them somewhere specific. Ours must be through a vendor in MA for all fertility meds, and each time I dont get the approval in time...and Im waiting tonight for a "trigger shot" to O and paying $89.99 for one freakign shot....
