What are the "signs" of an ear infection?
Alyson has never had one....
Paul has been acting REALLY off the last 2 days and I don't know if it's just teething....

Re: What are the "signs" of an ear infection?
Basically the same signs as teething (pulling on ears, her hair and cheeks. However, with an ear infection it will last more than a day or two and there is usually a fever with it. HTH

Re: What are the "signs" of an ear infection?
My DD is the ear infection kid in my family. The only sign she has ever shown has been that she sleeps very poorly with an ear infection. Unusual change in sleeping pattern where she gets up in the night crying for more than 1 night, I bring her to the ped. And sure enough, an ear infection

Re: What are the "signs" of an ear infection?
My DD always seems to have one. She shows NO signs at all other than waking in the middle of the night and has trouble going back to sleep. The only times I've ever had to bring her in bed with me is when she's had an ear infection. Also while sleeping she tosses her head from ear to ear alot - like she can't get comfortable.
She never tugs, pulls or gets a fever.
Is he sleeping? DD will still nap, but not sleep through the night. If you are unsure, it can't hurt to have him checked.

Re: What are the "signs" of an ear infection?
DD had her first ear infection 2 mths ago at 16 mths....she had no fever....she started not napping and sleeping well at night - then there was a change in her eating as well.... If your not sure, it cant hurt to take him to the Dr. to rule it out.

Re: What are the "signs" of an ear infection?
The first time my DD had one she had no signs. She had been sick with a cold and that's where it went too. The second time (3 weeks ago) she woke up screaming that her ear hurt Poor little thing.
