We don't have a house, so a backyard BBQ is out of the question, which would be ideal. Any other suggestions/recommendations? If you had it at a restaurant, where? Is there any place other than a restaurant? Only a couple of kids would be there all under 4. The rest will be about 40 adults.

I live in VA and don't have a house as well so we rented out Greis park in lynbrook..they had everything we needed for an outdoor bbq and the area was great..only $50 to secure the park for the day!

My condo was too small to have parties of any kind, i could only accomodate like 10-15 people.

I had/having both girls 1st birthdays in my IL's backyard on LI, i live a state away.

If my IL"s couldn't do it, i'd have it at a hall- like knights of columbus, firehouse type thing.

we are having it at a restaurant (i dont live in LI though). We also have a condo and it def wouldn't accommodate the 50+ people we invited (which is all family by the way-too expensive to start adding friends in)
we may do a BBQ at my dad's house in the summer for friends

We are renting a community center (actually its the community center that is part of my co-op's buildings). It's clean big and across the street so it's convenient. We will be catering food from a local restaurant and doing decorations ourselves.

I've had parties in the upstairs party rooms at the Brickhouse Brewery in Patchogue. That place rocks with their food and prices!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Or, you can try VFW halls or Knights of Columbus in the area. I can recommend Villa Grazia to cater. (They deliver from Centereach and have done many of our off site catering parties! Awesome!)

We have a house but not a great place to host a party - so we are borrowing my parents backyard.
