What are you doing for a garbage pail in nursery?
I had registered for a regular wicker garbage pail for the nursery. A lot of people told me the special diaper garbage pails are a waste of money. I was in BBB last week and looking at them but I would really only consider one if it's one that you can use regular garbage bags with - don't want it to be $$$$$. Baby Bargains didn't really have any good recommendations for ones that used regular garbage bags.
What are you doing?

We double bagged them in grocery bags and took them out at the end of the night. Otherwise you'll stink up the house.

we're not getting one of those special diaper things - we just plan on using regular bags (or maybe the scented ones) and putting the poopie diaper in there.

Re: What are you doing for a garbage pail in nursery?
I had one of those that you use regular garbage bags in it - diaper genie maybe? And it was recommended by Baby Bargains when DD was born. But I only used it for a short period of time because, not surprisingly, it began to stink.
This time around I don't think I'll bother - stinky diapers will go straight outside.
It's one of those things that is very useful for maybe 3 months when DC are little pooping machines, but I don't think it's really worth it over a long period of time.

Those little scented bags DO work! I think I just changed my plan now that you reminded me I already have them.

we bag them and take them right outside! i'm not keeping that sitting around inside my house. we have a small wicker pail in DD's room where she can't reach it for other things.

Re: What are you doing for a garbage pail in nursery?
I never had one. All the diapers got put in grocery store plastic bags and thrown outside and we'll be doing that again. Personally diaper genies and such kind of gross me out.....all that human waste in one place
