What are you doing for mother's day? Spending with just DH and DC or with your mothers and ILs?

Before we had DS, I'd hang out with my mom and DH would hang out with his on mother's day. Now I am a mom. I'd love to spend my first mother's day with just DH and DS but don't want to hurt my mom's feelings.

Maybe I will have brunch with just us and then go out to dinner with my mom. Don't know what to do with MIL though. She lives in Boston. I guess DH can send her flowers.

We are seeing our moms. I know that they would want to see their Grandson on Mother's Day.

I also want to see my mom that day!

we are lucky this year, my DH's grandmother is coming up from Florida so we are seeing his side of the family on saturday and my side of the family on sunday.

We will probably see both mothers some how!! I was also thinking brunch or at least breakfast with just DH and DS.

We are seeing my mom on Saturday, and MIL on Sunday evening. Sunday morning and afternoon is just for me, DH and DD!

I'm hosting (even though its my first). I able to have MIL and my mom over so we don't have to split it up

MIL & my mom (and my BIL/SIL/nephew) are coming over to our house for brunch. It's actually one "holiday" we don't stress over.

My MIL lives in Florida, so we don't see her.

As for my mother, she would be very hurt if we didn't see her. So, DS and I are going to the city to see her on Saturday.

DH, DS and I will probably go out to breakfast on Sunday, its the end of a five day swing for DH, so he will be tired and will have to sleep.

On my first mother's day we had dinner at my house, but my mom and mil cooked for us.

Other years we have spent the morning together the 4 of us and then done stuff wiht our mom's later in the day.

I am spending the morning and afternoon with just DS and DH. Later that evening I'll go by my mother's since she'll have a fit if she doesn't see us. We'll see DH's mom on Saturday since it's his birthday and she's babysitting for us that night.

Since it's my first Mother's day I really wanted it to be the three of us so hopefully it works out.

Unfortunately I started hosting Mother's Day before I had DS, and now it's "my holiday" so I'll be hosting 12 people and breaking my back on a day I should be relaxing.

We'll see my mom and my boyfriends mom. Not sure exactly what the plans are for the day though.

MIL lives 2 hours away... we're going to see her the following week (her B'day)...

Usually, DH and I descend upon mom's yard and plant literally hundreds of flowers for her and clean up all the winter mess. Since this is my first mother's day, I told DH I want to do something with just him and DS... maybe brunch?

I would REALLY like to do that huge flower day on sat.... but right now the forecast is rain I'm hoping it changes and sat will be dry... I don't want to do heavy manual labor on my first mother's day!

My mom in the morning (church and lunch) then Chris' mom and grandma late afternoon - and the 3 of us in the evening.

taking my mom to lunch in morning (in jersey) then i guess going to dinner with mil, i know i could have hosted but did not feel like dealing with everyone as dh has a big family.

We are doing a family BBQ on Saturday so my Mom can be with all of her children and grandchildren for a few hours.
Then all the kids are free and clear to see IL's on Sunday.
DH will be sleeping most of the day so it will be Victoria and I on our own until we go out to dinner with my IL's

We are going to Oyster Bay Gardens for the day and then going to my stepmom's house after. I usually do not see my mom on Mother's Day but usually see her on the Sat. before for a bit.

I am hosting. It is the only holiday I am "allowed" to host
We are having my parents, my sister and her family, her MIL, my ILs, my BIL, my aunt and uncle and my cousin (actually it is my cousin-in-law as my cousin is on call ).

My IL's and my family are all invited to my mom's house for dinner on Saturday.

We are so fortunate to have both grandmothers near us! We will host our usual brunch at our house. They will leave by naptime and the rest of the day we will spend with just the 3 of us. It is going to be such a nice first mother's day!

My dh works on Sundays so I won't be spending the day with him.

Every year, my father takes me and my mom out (with my kids) to buy flowers for our gardens.

We are having brunch with my mom, my sister, my sister's MIL and SIL...plus DHs and kids, of course.

My sister feels that she wants to start celebrating Mother's Day with her own little family...but that's not my style. The more the merrier I say!!

We will be with my family on the actual Mother's Day and with DH's family on another day.

I have no idea.

I've been pretty anti-social since DD was born, and really just want to spend the day with DH and DD since it's my first mother's day.

My mother lives in Florida, and I really don't want the inconvienence of making the long drive to Pt. Jeff from where I live on holiday Sunday with my 3 month old.
