We are getting our very train obsessed almost 2.5 year old an O-gauge Lionel Polar Express. He's also getting the book to go with it.
It is a very expensive gift but also kind of a house gift for the tree. I have a feeling DH is going to have to make a table to keep it on in the basement.
Since it is so expensive we got him a few small gifts to go with it.

Same for my 2 year old son.
Also a Pillow Racer and probably some Little People set. It's hard because he's got two older sisters and I feel like we've got everything already.
My DS turned 2 in late October and my MIL got him about 15 Matchbox cars and a case and he's been OBSESSED ever since. If you don't have that, I really recommend!
